The very first gaming system I ever had was the Atari 2600 in the late 70′s. My parents were gracious enough to allow me to have it in my bedroom when I was 12 and I enjoyed the hell out of it too. With my Atari 2600 I had Pac Man, Defender, Pong, Centipede, Missile Command and Journey Escape. In 1984 we moved in with family and everything I had got put in storage and I never saw them again.
My cousins had a Nintendo Entertainment System when we lived with them but they were restricted to playing at certain times when my aunt and uncle let them play it so there really wasn’t as much gaming going on. Every so often they would take it out and play Popeye but with 6 kids fighting over playing, it didn’t give me much of a desire to want to play video games. The fighting over playing combined with the adults not wanting us to play very long made it so games weren’t appealing to me.
When I was 19 years old I got my first computer, an Apple //e and my first computer game was King’s Quest IV: The Perils of Rosella. I had an instant addiction to adventure games after that but ended up selling the computer a few years later because it became obsolete and I needed the money.
When I was 22 years old I got a Sega Game Gear, actually my ex at the time and I both had them but with different games. I only had Sonic the Hedgehog and Columns, he had Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Prince of Persia. We didn’t have the money to spend on too many games but eventually I had the TV Tuner to add to my experience. That was when you didn’t have to have cable to watch tv. I played that Sonic game to death. I got so good at it that it would literally only take me an hour to get through from beginning to end when I’d see the end credits. Eventually our relationship ended and I became homeless and needed to sell it at a pawn shop, I only got $20 for everything, it was really disappointing.
I met Chip in 1994 and that summer I bought a Nintendo Game Boy for myself because there was too much idle time for me. I wasn’t working anymore and I was just so bored watching TV all day long. I had a bunch of video games that I ended up selling to a used game store because we always needed the money but the 2 games that I never gave up were Tetris and The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening. There were a couple of games that I remember playing and I sure wish I didn’t sell them. Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Land. I played the hell out of Donkey Kong and I didn’t really give Donkey Kong Land much of a chance before giving up completely and selling it.
I bought a computer in 1997 and remembered the King’s Quest game and ended up buying the collection for most of the Sierra Online games like King’s Quest Collection, Leisure Suit Larry Collection, Quest for Glory Collection, Police Quest Collection, Phantasmagoria and a few more. I never got to play all of the collections but I still have them even though they won’t play with Windows XP.
I bought a Nintendo 64 in 2001 in exchange for web hosting when I was offering that on a different website but I never really bought any games for it. It came with Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time which I didn’t play very much but I did enjoy it. I still have it but it’s not plugged in to the tv anymore.
My cousin introduced me to MMORPG gaming with EverQuest and I played that game from 2002 until 2007 when I got burned out on it. That is where the name Xanapus comes from, he was my first character who was a gnome wizard. I would like to get back into this or other MMORPG games but as slow as my computer is I just don’t see it happening any time soon.
And finally, my PSP. In December 2007 I wanted to join the video gaming world again and it just so happened that I had made $250 from building a website for someone and the first thing that I thought that I wanted to do with that money was to buy something fun and a PSP was fun so I bought it. I bought the silver PSP Slim with Daxter, 1GB memory stick and the Family Guy Freakin’ Sweet Collection.
Fortunately when I bought this gaming system I was able to buy more games due to my determination to keep them so I don’t have to miss playing them. If I ever want to play them no problem cause I still have them. Here they are:

Downloaded Games Bought From The PlayStation Store

I also bought 1 PS1 game for the PSP but I really never could get into it.

I have not finished all of these games, I have finished a few but not all. I don’t have any plans for buying any new games anytime soon because I kinda burned out on it but I will hopefully get back into it again one of these days.
I do play a browser based game called Lord of Ultima and occasionally some Facebook games but not too often (facebook games that is).
